C.Stoesz has his dates as b.1733-d.1814. His age given in various censuses don't all reflect a birth year of 1733. He may have come from Krebsfelde, Prussia, since his son Jacob is said to have come from there. Cornelius A. DeFehr says he came from Heubuden. He md Anna Bergen Oct 1761 (b.1736 1739, Prussia - d. after 1814, S. Russia. Her maiden name was either Wabestein or Bergen per Hannah Rempel's 30 June 1989 letter to Tim Janzen. Anna: Maiden name was either Bergen or Waberstein. There are a number of conflicting reports on her. GR4 has her born any where from 1736-39) She is likely the same person as the wife I have down as Anna Haberstein. Anna: C. Stoesz's mat'l has her last name spelled as Waberstein. But Bud Veer (USA) who has researched this tree very thoroughly insists it is Haberstein. According to GRANDMA 4, she may also be Anna Bergen.
