This is the invitation to a funeral in my great-grandfather, Isbrand Friesen's hand. . .

Friesen funeral letter

This is the back of the same sheet, on which is a list of the relatives in his parents' village. Each home passes it on to the next, so the same invitation is used for all. Notice that the names are written in the English style instead of the Gothic script.
